Helpful Hints for Completing Your Information
General Information
Once you are registered, you can log into your care-4 account to change any of the details
provided at any time by selecting the ‘add/change details’ link shown on the left hand menu.
It is your responsibility to ensure your details are kept up-to-date at all times.

Section A – Address & Contact Information
This section relates to details of the site at which childcare is provided. Please ensure that
the information held is accurate.
Please note that care-4 requires a valid email address in order for your registration to proceed.
This allows us to provide you with a confirmation email once you have completed your registration and
provides you with payment updates.
Section B – Registration / Approval Information
In order to ensure that we fully comply with legislative requirements, we need to ensure that you are
registered / approved before we can make payment to you.
Registration Type - Please select the relevant regulatory authority you are registered / approved through.
Registration / Approval – if you have been provided with a registration / approval number by your regulatory body, please provide the relevant details.
Examples of the typical format of registration / approval numbers are shown below:
Ofsted e.g. EY123456 or 123456
Scottish Care Commission & SCSWIS e.g. CS2003123456
Dept for Education e.g. 123/1234
CSSIW e.g. W0123456789
Voluntary Ofsted e.g. VC123456 or EY123456 and Renewal Date
Isle of Man – e.g. CYP/A/12/1234 or RMC/A/12/1234
If you are based in Northern Ireland or the Channel Islands and your regulatory body does
not issue registration numbers, please ensure that you tick the box to confirm that you are
registered / approved and are eligible to provide childcare and to be paid through the care-4
scheme.
Approval Renewal A renewal date is only applicable if you are an ‘Approved’ carer under the
Home Approval / Voluntary Ofsted Schemes. Please provide in the format DDMMYYYY. For example:
1st September 20013 should be entered as 01092013.
Section C – Banking Information
In order to process payments to you via the care-4 scheme, you will need to register your
bank account information.
Account Number – this should be 8 digits long.
Building Society Ref. / Roll No. - Unless you have a Building Society account and need to
provide details of a reference / roll number as part of your account information, we would advise
you NOT to enter any details in this field as this information will be used as a reference for
ALL payments made to you. Instead, by leaving this field blank, care-4 will automatically
reference payments made to you with the initial and surname of the payee. Should a different
reference from this be required, parents are able to arrange this with care-4.
IMPORTANT: Without your correct bank details, care-4 will be unable to process payments to
your account in respect of childcare provided by you. Should incorrect account details be
provided by you and a subsequent payment made, please be aware that care-4 may not be able to
recover funds owed to you.
